Senior Backend Engineer
Build reliable backend systems: APIs, data, integrations, and observability — engineered for scale.
Full-time • Remote (EU/US overlap)
Responsibilities
What you’ll do
- Design and ship APIs with clear boundaries and contracts
- Own data models, migrations, and performance budgets
- Build async workflows (queues, webhooks, idempotency)
- Instrument services with tracing/metrics and improve incident response
Requirements
What we’re looking for
- Strong backend experience (Node/TypeScript preferred)
- SQL fluency and Postgres fundamentals
- Experience with caching/queues and distributed-system tradeoffs
- Observability mindset (OpenTelemetry) and testing discipline
